Oh, Karin. This article brought tears to my eyes. It is so beautifully written and it’s like you read my mind. The last few days I’ve been assessing my life, wondering about my legacy (and who would care) and thinking of what I want to do with the rest of what I have left….

John, your comment means so much to me. If words were currency, I feel rich right now.

I get where you're at. I feel the same. How do I want to be remembered? What do I want to experience? I want to participate with life--hop on that boat-- not merely watch it sail by.

I actually had a hawk hovering beside me as I drove home yesterday! 90% of life is showing up. Nothing happens if you don’t participate. Unfortunately, we live in a hyper competitive world, which tries to push people out. As always, your beautiful combination of feet on the ground meets head in the stars!

Wow! How cool is that?!

You are right, we do live in a hyper competitive world and one where people sometimes zone out or don’t take the time to notice.

Thanks for your kind words. As always, I appreciate your support. :)

“If life is a zoo, I want to hop the fence, tangle with life’s tigers and live to talk about it.” - and what’s most amazing is that these tangles can be uplifting and exuberating or can take us to the depths of despair, but as long as we take the time and make the effort to reflect and learn later - we can end up so much richer for the experience, either way.

This is a wonderful read Karin. Thank you for sharing.

What a wonderful, exuberant piece, KC! I love it.

After my dramatic car crash 24 years ago, my big epiphany was two-fold: It's not about me (which was freeing) but I am a part (which was encouraging).

We've talked about my love of Hafiz. A Daniel Ladinsky translation of one of Hafiz's poems goes like this:

My Beloved said,

"My name is not complete without

yours."

I thought:

How could a human's worth ever be such?

And God, knowing our thoughts - and all our

thoughts are innocent steps on the path -

then addressed my

heart,

God revealed

a sublime truth to the world,

when He sang,

"I am made whole by your life. Each soul,

each soul completes me."
